Established in Beirut, in 2020, Tafta is a label centered around women’s intimate wear and accessories. Tafta balances the different elements of design and production, to make sure women can achieve a maximum level of comfort, without compromising the aesthetic. The current product range includes robes, pouches and intimate wear separates such as shorts, pants and tops.
The Tafta robe was carefully stitched, tried, tested, ripped, and stitched again to ensure it fits a wide range of sizes comfortably. The choice of fabric ranges from linens, to cottons, chiffons, silks and viscose. The majority of robes can be worn inside, but also outside the house (read: poolside). We leave it entirely up to you to make that decision.
he Tafta pouches, another staple from the brand, come in two shapes with inside lining, for the clumsy ones out there who continuously spill their creams in their make-up bags.

THE MANIFESTO
Mindful production: we produce limited quantities of each item to minimize stock, limit over-production and reduce fabric waste.
Minimal waste: your order will come in a fabric pouch, fit for repurposing over and over (and over) again. A complimentary (matching) scrunchie is also offered with each robe, made from left-over fabrics. Did we mention we care about the details?
Comfort and aesthetic: none have to be compromised for the other. Gone are the days of the sweatpants (although, we must admit they still have their glory). Tafta robes and PJs offer the needed flexibility to move freely around the house, all the while feeling like our very best self.
Self-care (x3): Tafta is here to remind you to put on a face mask, to pamper yourself, to start that book you’ve been thinking about reading, to blast the music a little louder, to meditate, to danse around the house. Whatever it is that gets your serotonin levels higher up, just do it. We’re here to remind you of that.
THE FOUNDERS
Nawal (the momma) and Yasmine (the daughter) are the founders of Tafta. Nawal is the master of all things related to production, execution, and quality control, whereas Yasmine is the one with the hard-to-execute ideas. The combination of sewing mastery (Nawal) and design vision (Yasmine) is what makes Tafta the brand it is.
